Cakewalk UA-101 audio and Roland GI-20 GK-MIDI - chained or parallel interfaces to PC?
I have the option of interfacing both the GI-20 and UA-101 directly to my DAW PC, via two parallel, independent USB cables, or running the GI-20 MIDI output into the UA-101, and then interfacing the UA-101 into the PC via a single USB cable.
The UA-101 will be supporting two stereo audio sources. The GI-20 will be outputting 6 channels of MIDI.
How would SONAR prefer to receive these audio signals and MIDI data streams? Via a single USB interface from the UA-101, or separate interfaces? Any pros / cons?
Thanks
