Cakewalk UA-4FX Audio Interface Help

Im using the mic input on the side.... The xlr plug input on the side for the mic.. I have a condenser mic.

I hear everything when using the interface, except the mic. I plug the mic in and i see the audio level move, but i cant hear it. But i can hear everything else.



HELP!!!!!! Please

    It sounds like your input monitoring is off. Look on the bottom of the device and see what position it is in. If it is on you should be able to hear your mic while you are using it. If it is on Auto, and you are using the UA-4X with the advanced mode on, and are using the ASIO driver mode, you can turn it on with the software you are using. In Sonar this is done by clicking the Input Echo button on the track to enable it. Enabling Input Echo is also how you hear what you are recording even if you don't have Input Monitoring on your audio interface.

    I suggest looking up Input Monitoring in both your UA-4X and recording software manuals/help files for more detailed information.

    Ok so i got the mic working. I hear it now. Thanks Chappel. But another issue arises....... When i hear sound through the UA-4FX from my computer, the sound speeds up but when i play sound through my regular soundcard again it sounds like regular speed again. Why is the UA-4FX speeding up sound?

    Is it the program?
    Is it the sample rate?

    Please help me

    That could be a sample rate problem. If you are going to use to multiple audio interfaces to play the same recorded material you may get your best results if they are both set to the same sample rate. Most people use only one audio interface for recording/playback for that reason. Sorry for the delay in my response. I have a lot going on right now and I don't check in here every day.
