Cakewalk X1 Studio with Behringer FCA 1616 Firepower interface

If I buy the above USB audio interface which states it has 16 outputs and inputs, will my Cakewalk see this and adjust its format to allow me to record all (or at least 8) of these channels at the same time on different tracks? I currently use a Roland Quad capture but I will soon need to be able to record at least 8 seperate channels at once. Grateful for any advice or recommendations for other audio interfaces at reasonable cost. Many thanks. Paul
