Cakewalk bandlab TTS-1 problem
Hi all, installed CbB On Laptop Win 7 Pro 64 bit to revisit some old projects, there is no other version of Sonar or any other cakewalk product installed, just CbB, i load TTS-1 (i know this is an older DX plugin - not sure if its 64 or 32 bit?) but it is included in CbB so it should be compatible? The problem is: some of my songs use the Plate reverb built into TTS-1 (effects tab on TTS-1 opens so you can select what reverb type or chorus type you want) the problem is the Plate setting doesn't work, when its selected (Plate) there is no reverb, really weird? all the other settings work (room, hall etc...) but the plate setting does nothing? Can anyone else try this that has a fresh install of CbB or has anyone else seen this is there a way to get it working? I know its just a general midi older DX synth but i'm just using it to revisit some old projects and just thought that was weird that just one setting (plate) in the reverb effects setting doesn't work, everything else on TTS-1 seems fine. If anyone can try this or confirm that something is messed up of a fix (by copying a different tts-1 .dll) 0r something i would really appreciate it! Thanks everyone, and looking forward to future of Cakewalk by Bandlab. Tommy

What I would try is to insert a CC91=64 event at the beginning of any track where you want reverb to be audible.
CC91 controls the reverb send level.

Thanks for the reply. The reverb in tts-1 works "fine" it is just the one (plate) setting that doesn't work all the other reverb settings work (room, hall etc...) if i choose small room, or room, hall, large hall they all work, when i select plate there is no reverb at all but i can try this suggestion to see if it does anything. Thanks

Confirmed, Plate isn't working, sound passes through uneffected. All other reverb algos work.

Same here Plate reverb not working on CbB. Also tried on my Cakewalk Artist still no plate reverb working. Maybe it never did and no one else had noticed.

There is no change to the actual processing for TTS-1 in CbB.

Yes really weird Noel, i figured nothing was changed, and yes the (plate) setting has always worked in other versions of Sonar from 8.5 to X1 i'm pretty sure it even worked in Music Creator 7, i have an older computer w all these on it and i checked it and it definitely works (the older pc has Win7 pro 32bit) but i'm pretty sure it worked in 64bit versions of Sonar as well. Its been fun opening older songs on CbB to hear them and discovered the plate setting wasn't working as i always liked this setting on the drums and was wondering why it was so dry. Anyway can you confirm its not working Noel? Is there a work around to get it working? is it something that can be fixed? Loving CbB and having a blast hear these older projects. Thanks everyone, Tommy

Might be it's been broken for years and nobody noticed. I used to use TTS-1 in final mixes but have long ago abandoned it. I only use it to preview downloads and my old files. I personally won't expect them to deal with this. In a way we are lucky they still include it as I'm sure it's code is getting unstable as time goes on. It's from a bygone era.
