Cakewalk flanger/chorus plugin

Hi folks

I'm having problems with chorus plugin that comes with HS7 XL. It has suddenly starting popping badly whenever I try and apply it to a track. All other plugin effects are working fine.

Is there any way I can simply uninstall/reinstall this single effect or are we talking about a complete program reinstallation here? I have no idea what's caused this as it was working fine. I can only assume some kind of corruption has taken place?

    are you certain it's the plugin causing the popping?  that's not a normal problem.  plugins don't normally cause popping individually, but they can cause popping depending on your latency settings and your soundcard.

    Pretty certain Beagle. Perhaps popping isn't an accurate description. It's more like distorting. 

    I can only assume it's that because all other plugins seem to be working and in terms of normal recording, things seem to be functioning as they should. Just poking around my system, I think I'm going to have to reinstall the program from scratch.

    What are the readings on the CPU and Disk meters at the bottom while the effect is running?
