Cakewalk please phone home

Dear Cakewalk,

Please shed some light on what is happening with both your X1 fixes w/o Expanded and with Expanded.  I have not read anything from you for a long time now.  We have read many posts on X1C and Expanded as well as learned of Presonus S1 V2 and all that it has brought to the table.  There are many concerned but faithful Sonar users here and there are more requests to get some feedback from you than just myself.  I expanded and just bought the Zeta +2 upgrade.  I am writing and enjoying the software but don't want to see you lose support because of a lack of communication.

So please phone home and let us know what is happening on the development front or whatever would be good to relay to your end users.  Any news is better than no news IMO.

Thanks for the listen.  All the best.

    Here is a best guess.

In the next release i.e. X2 there will two upgrade paths:

    1. Those that didn't buy Expanded will pay more for the upgrade.
    2. Those that bought expanded will pay less.

    Gear: A bunch of stuff.

What Presonus S1 V2 brought to the table is a DAW that has a multiplicity of problems and possibly is not fit for consumption. I just bought it and have to do my first UNinstall because of numerous ridiculous problems. And if you go to the forum, you'll see many that are having problems. Buyer beware. I'm going to wait a few months before I re-install just to let the dust settle and wait for forthcoming updates. In the meanwhile, I do have X1. And it has more going for it [for me] at the moment than that other piece of work.

Beware that some plugins will NOT load into S1 V2 [My Spectrasonics and some S1 V2 bundled NI plugs, and others] as one user just told me, saying "Some plugins are not loading due to Intel libraries. It happens with a few NI plugins, not sure if IK stuff behave the same way."

Maybe I'll have to go out and buy a new computer so I can run that ARA in S1 V2. Anyway, that's what S1 V2 is serving on their table, if you have the appetite for troubleshooting and chaos.
