im wondering what the value would be, purchase wise.

and will they be worth it in 5 years from now ? still compatible ?

Check Anderton's sig.  He has one for sale.  I can't think of anybody I would trust more buying used gear from.

The product has no official support and is not in production. That should tell you how valuable it will be in 5 years. I feel buying one is simply tossing money into the wind.

Depends on condition for one. I've been looking around as well to see what they are selling for because I'm considering selling mine. I would say not to buy it if you plan on going with Windows 10 to not buy one because of the driver issues. Mine became so unstable that I had to buy a new interface because Roland refuses to update drivers at this point. I've been pestering them about it and they sent another request to Roland Japan to make them last week so who knows.

thank you for the info guys, im glad I have this place for good advise.
im thinking now of going Mackie control because I really only need remote control, not inputs/outputs.
I like the idea of the vs700 control more than I do the I/O.

I ended up scoring a Mackie Control (8 channel master control) for 175.00 off Craigslist.
what a super deal this was. the guy was also super nice and threw in a few extras, like a rack mount midi module, 12 ft midi cables, a rolling desk for the MC and a few other things)the button menus for like sonar and 5 other DAWS.

I cant stress enough how excited I am to have the Mackie control. it works flawless in sonar and because it is midi control, there are no compatibility issues.
I still want a VS 700 but with the windows 10 compatibility issue and the price tag (though Craig is selling his and his asking price is Very..Very fair.) he is a good guy too.

like I said, I still want one but im going to have to ride it out for a while.
