What we need to know now is the price and release date :)

For people that are setting up (like me), this kind of stuff could be very interesting... good timing :)

I found this: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6y4kn_sonar-vstudio-700-for-post-producti

On a personal note: I hope there's a good existing SONAR 8 customer price break... I'm quite interested in this.

The control surface looks very nice to me. Casing seems deep so I think I'd want to recess it in the desk if I got one. Note the display scribble strips - essential I think once you get beyond basic fader & transport control. One day perhaps these displays will be adjacent to the controls they refer to .

Now, where's the matching Keyboard controller?

Jim

Edit - just found out the controller only works with the i/o rack - BUMMER!

Yes, I know it's upside down.

Anyone have an extra $4K dollars I can have?

$179 for Sonar 8.....I feel better now. Doesn't seem so expensive now.

$4000 for a control surface and a usb interface? Pass...Who cares about the Fantom bit...That was the worst idea shoving one of those in there...If it were a V-Synth in there, that would be something though.

I've gotta agree - who needs another synth included? Perhaps I'd bite if it were optional, but 4K for what I'd essentially use as a control surface is way overblown, me thinks.

I've have to admit that this blows my MCU out of the water just from what I've see nthis far, but the price of $4,000.00 is put of my reach for my project studio.

Welcome back home MCU, sorry I lusted over the V-Studio 700!

Peace

Peace,
