I apologize if this had been posted already - my cat had an arm of mine trapped so I didn't search first.  She has a habit of jumping up on my chest and falling over in a big ball of fur and purring herself into a stupor.  Head upside down - so I just did copy/paste operations with the mouse and my free hand to post this.

I grew up loving a lot of their music - not as technically challenging as some other prog bands from the time or their locale, but beautiful sound that I liked a lot.

Guy Leblanc? Who is that? I'm sorry that he passed. That's tough for all that knew him.

But, being a Camel listener, it's at least a clarification to point out that Pete Bardens was the real Camel keyboardist and founder. Unfortunately he passed from cancer as well. Might have been from the brand of cigarettes they all smoked.

Pete Bardens was the guy behind Moonmadness and their peak years.

    Hi,

What a lovely band this is, and has been for years. Sorry to hear that, but it only makes me shed a tear, for the inspiration that so many of these bands have given me in 45 years.

NP: "Snow Goose" (even though it was not him!)
    Seque to "Nude"

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Soft prog is how I think of their music.  I used to put Breathless on just before going to bed, and would let it play over and over, all night long.  Slept like a baby.

Breathless is the original keyboard player's last album with the group, if memory serves.

Breathless was Pete Barden's last record with Camel, a great record and the end of their really well put together albums, at least keyboardwise.  Andy was always a great guitarist and continued to be so but he didn't have a main bandmate after Pete left.  Andy had a few good moments in future records but it was definitely hit and miss and not the same.

Some songs on Breathless are especially stellar.
