Cameleon 5000 acting funny

Hi,

Anyone that owns this synth have a problem of the notes hanging after playing the track. In the middle of a section where I have a Cameleon 5000 track playing I hit stop and the note hangs and hangs and keeps making a noise and evolving, which is really annoying. This of course only really happens with ambient pads and so on...is this a a glitch?

i have not had hung notes like you describe, but one problem with C5K in Sonar is the mod wheel. it causes crackles in the audio.

sonar is the only host this occurs in for me. i have reported it to camel audio and they say the problem is in sonar. this seems confirmed by the fact that wrapping C5K in DirectiXer fixes the crackles.

i also reported it to cake several versions ago, but they haven't addressed it.

I have this problem with Cameleon and I have not found a way to fix it. I use Sonar 3.1.1.

This won't help stuck notes, but if you have the crakles, try increasing your midi buffer, sometimes if there's a ton of data (modwheels send a stream of data) it can overflow the buffer a bit.

I too get stuck notes, but only when I stop playback.

Sonica Dual Core 3.4 GHz, 2GB Ram, 3HDs, UAD1, PoCo Firewire, DIGI 9652, D8B, vintage synths, guitars and more money than talent (though questionable how much of either). XP Home SP2. SPE6.2. Other things of variable interest.

This is a known issue with Cameleon but it is specific to Sonar and not other hosts.
