Can Automap do this?

I'm experimenting with making a template for z3ta. What i'd really like to do is give some meaningfull names to the parameter values. For example instead of choosing oscillator wave when 20.339 when looking at the LCD i'd like to be able to read VintageSquare 1 (it would probabaly be shorter of course).

I tried messing with the .automap file that is written and which is in vstxml format but i can't get automap to recognise the valuetypes. Has anyone suceeded in this or know if it is possible or not?

    Just to clear things up: I'm making a control map not a template.
