Can I define a shortcut for 'dot note'?

Hello. I purchased Sonar X2 last week.
 
Usually, I use 'Staff view' and can't find a way to define dot not.
ex) ♩.  or  ♪.
 
in 8.5, When I just type '.'button, I could write dot notes...
But It's not.
 
Please help me.

    You can set the event draw duration (pencil tool on tool hud) to 1/8 dotted or 1/4 dotted, but for the dots after the notes to display properly you may have to go to "View"
    and remove "Fill Durations" in Staff View settings.
