Can I install X1 over my Reaper?

I mean if I'm not using it, is that legal? 

I paid for Reaper.

I paid for X1.

Seems I should be able to do whatever I want, right?

Lastly, will it make my mixes sound like two hit record?

    I keep having visions of a guy in a black robe flying an airplane using a sickle like a polo mallet to mow down small, furry animals. Our Bapu wouldn't do that.
