Can I take my SampleTank samples and play them through Dimension Pro?

Hello, I was wondering if there's a way to essentially combine the Dimension Pro samples and my SampleTank samples so I can access both from Dimension Pro's program browser (this program browser is an awesome way to find the perfect sound patch).

Thanks in advance

Dim Pro's program Browser can only see files in a specific location and the Multisamples that the Programs refer to have to be in their original location. Unlike most players like DIM PRO, it doesn't allow you to select the location for samples in an option menu. It has to be done at installation or later via a registry edit.

There would be some work involved but you might be able to do this with a format converter like http://www.extranslator.com/

So convert and put in folders where DP has it's folders.

sfz-format is something that Dimension can read as I understand it and converters to convert to.

Check that converter support the version of ST you use.

You may also lose something too, I think a lot of the sounds in sample tank utalize its onboard filters and effects. Even after conversion they may not sound the same.

If the OPs problem with Sample tank is the hard to read GUI. It helps if you change the colour from the horrible red default. IFRC the colour is changed using a knob on the right hand side of the GUI. IMHO the multitimberal, multi output Sample tank has some advantages over Dim Pro.

    @ Glynn Barnes

Thanks for the heads up about changing the color. The gui is still way to small but now it is easier to read.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.
