That's because you set your global snap to Measure. In the PRV there's a thingie somewhere in the menu there where they finally deigned to allow you to over-ride that global snap, but you have to Ask for it--Then your 16th note snap setting will take. RB

The first thing in the video you changed was the PRV Grid Resolution. That's the vertical divisions in the grid itself, has nothing to do with the notes you want.

The second thing you went after is the Snap To settings. This is where you're mistake is. The Snap To resolution is what you want to set to 1/16th. You set it to Measure in the video, so everything will align to the measure mark.

The third thing you clicked was the Note Resolution (duration) If you want the notes you enter to be 1/16th notes, that's where you set it.

You were in the right places, just not clicking the right values in the Snap To menu.

one last question how can i make it so that every time i open my project i don't have to go back to the PRV and make my Grid lines back to 1/16 from 1/4. It defaults to that when ever i close and open my project. Thanks

Not currently if you use the snap, that is a known bug

CWBRN 5807 PRV gridline view won't remember setting when turning global snap off or PRV snap on
