Can Sonar Export Audio Clips into seperate files?
I sometimes want to export each audio clips in sonar project to seperate audio files. But I cannot find out how to do so.

Here's how I do this... 1) Globally Mute all tracks, and then un-mute the track that has the audio clip. 2) Select the audio clip itself by clicking on it, or use Alt+drag to select a region of the clip. 3) Choose Export from the File menu. 4) Disable any options in the Export window that you don't want included. Voila..

2) Select the audio clip itself by clicking on it, or use Alt+drag to select a region of the clip. well , i think he meant multiple selections... or even ALL the clips on the screen at once - exporting these in one step to seperate wav files .. the only way to do something similar AFAIK is to assign tracks to different busses , then you can get all the busses to export at once to different files . Would be nice to have a better markers/playlist system like in SoundForge .. exporting there from markers/ranges is just great (also a "group" arranging for Sonar would be nice to have... )

Thanks! I think I should write a CAL to re-assign them to seperate BUS, and export them

I think I should write a CAL to re-assign them to seperate BUS, and export them a great idea ! please reply here again or open a new thread when you got it also , maybe the CAL should have an option to first take each clip to its own track and only then to reassign each track to a new buss ? this way you can really export ranges (by clips) and not only full tracks .

I should install Cakewalk 8.1 to write and debug the CAL, and I didn't find any Clip functions in the CAL reference But If I got it, I will post a new thread to share it with all :)

You can simply drag any MIDI or Audio clip onto the desktop or other location. Couldn't be easier than that.

RobertB Another rip in the time/space continuum? I believe that this sets a new record for old thread revival.
