Can Sonar Export With Track Names??

I don't know why I never wondered about this in the past, but it just dawned on me that it would be really cool if we could export tracks  with "track names" attached to the files so when we play a CD of our project the names would appear on our CD player (or even in iTunes for that matter).

I'm not sure if we can do this in Sonar 8.5 or not, but if we can, I'd love for someone to walk me through it asap!!
If not.......Does anyone know of a program that does?

Thanks in advance!!

I use Sony CD Architect to burn tracks to CD using "redbook" specs and you can add any CD/Track text you want. Very nice software.

You can export audio in File, Export Audio, OMF.  But unfortunately is does separate Left and Right output files.  I'm not sure if you can have it do stereo files.  Seems logical that it should, I didn't bother looking because most tracks for me are mono.

There is a good chance there is a way to do it all in Sonar.

He is not asking that and what does OMF have to do with embedding CD Text?
Yes sonar can export stereo files. He's asking if sonar can embed CD Text and no it cannot.

You need a red book compliant program like CD architect or Pyro to embed CD Text

It will if you export them to MP3 files and burn an MP3 disk or USB or Flash memory stick. You'll need a tool like Nero or Cakewalk Audio Creator or Media Monkey or many others to name the tracks, That's how iTunes does it because they are all MP3s not WAVs.

Practically all CD-burnung software supports CD-text nowadays, free or commercial. I use Nero.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

After re-reading the OP, he is asking to export files with track names.  I presented one way of doing it using OMF, which will export tracks with the name of the track as the file name.  Since many on the forum know much more about Sonar stuff than me, the hope was that someone would know a way of keeping Sonar from splitting stereo tracks into separate left and right tracks.

My assumption was that he'd use CD burning software to take those tracks to and audio CD.  I would think a fairly decent CD burning program could automatically take the name of the file as the name of the track.  But you should know better than me if you read even just 10% of the number of posts that you write.

Can you recommend good audio CD burning software?  Having wasted money on Pyro myself, I'm happy to learn of a better program.  Some say public domain software may be best these days.

I could not find "CD Text" anywhere in the OP.  Don't know about it myself.  Willing to learn what it is from you if you can manage another post or two.

by the way, what beverage do you have there?

The OP says "so when we play a CD of our project the names would appear on our CD player (or even in iTunes for that matter).
The only way I can understand that is he means CD-text. His wording is distractive, to say the least.

I'm happy with Nero, but not knowing what you don't like in Pyro and what you're looking for, I don't know...

Yes, I didn't see what they were asking either, almost like, your CD display would say " Bass take 1"  or " guitar lo" if you took the wording of the post verbatim.  That's what my track names are.
