Can Sonar output to 2 different sources?

My MOTU has 4 outputs but Sonar only lets me select one at a time. So I have the MOTU Mains going to the amp and the Analog going to a tape deck. It would be nice to send the signal from Sonar to both outputs if that's possible.

Have you tried using a send?

Setup with two buses one going to the first main out the other taking a send from the first master buss and outing to the next main out.

what motu ? surely the mixer app for it has a thing to adjust that , sometimes off the asio panel OR in the task bar... can't speak for your card as I don't own one.. but there should be a mixer app.. handy for headphone mixing also etc.

you might find only 2 of your 4 outputs are enabled on the unit itself.

With your MOTU and with sonar, you can output to more than 1 stereo output at the same time.

Just add an aux send to your master bus and route it to the second pair of outputs.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Thanks guys! Now why didn't I know this? It must be too early to think.

What I find awkward is having to have one bus for each output adding to the channel stream.
You'd think there'd be a function in Sonar like on my 644 that allows you to assign a track output to several busses, not just one.

    Oh well!

The other way to hear the tapedeck thru the monitors while its recording would be to connect it's outs to the mixer. They aren't, currently.
