Can anybody help?

I'm considering upgrading My Sonar X3 to Sonar Platinum. I'm currently running on an Intel i7 2.2Ghz quad core processor, with 6Gb RAM. My question is, Do you think that this will run okay, or will it cause me issues? I know what the specs say, but I'm aware that sometimes these are slightly overstated. I would appreciate any feedback.

I think performance would be very comparable to X3. As always, it depends heavily on your use of plugins and softsynths.

It will run fine on that system.

Thanks guys. I'm going to take the bull by the horns and get it, as it looks pretty good.

Platinum seems a bit snappier than X3 was, so it might run a little better.

No problems here running on a much older Q9300 w/ 8GB of slower RAM.   As others stated, performance really should be at least on par with X3.

I've steadily noticed the cpu being a bit lower doing the same recording processes in Platinum compared to X3e.

Thanks for all the input guys. I've gone ahead and bought it. I've had a little play and it seems to run pretty good.
I've no doubt though, as mentioned above, if I use too many effects I might start to suffer. But I'm very pleased.
