Can someone explain the logic of this change in X1?

Can someone explain the logic of this change in X1?

Cakewalk created a new menu on the top of the screen called "project", in which they put things like insert meter/key change, insert tempo change, insert series of tempos, etc.  Makes sense to me.  But then in the insert menu, they have left insert bank/patch change and insert series of controllers.  To my mind, both of these belong with the rest of the project inserts because they are definitely part of a specific project.

    I'm guessing but it's probably because the last two are MIDI specific whereas the others are project specific. i.e. they apply to the project as a whole rather than individual tracks.

    Just guessing.
