Can we change the colors of the GUI in X1 & what about the new Perfectspace?

Q1: In the new SONAR X1, can we still change the colors of the GUI like in SONAR 8.5?

Q2: Perfectspace.
Will Aleksey Vaneev update his plugin in SONAR X1 to x64bit?
Can please Cakewalk contact Aleksey to make a new update of his convolution reverb.
I'm sure he is willing to help out making a new x64bit Perfectspace for SONAR X1.

Please don't forget to add support of "True stereo"-format (x2-files format) and surround 5.1 support in the new Perfectspace X1.

Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Freddie

In the video, where perfect space is used I see no blue bitbridge icon in the top left of the perfect space GUI....perhaps it is x64 in X1?

I doubt it since he's not releasing a x64 version of Pristine Space.

Question: what exactly does "some aspects" mean?

any link to the video of perfect space?

Perfect space in x64 is a dealbreaker  for me!!! (considering notation  has been ignored again)

    matt,

For me, it is not a joke... as I have a severe visual impairment, the color scheme of the program and/or being able to control color makes the difference between whether I can use the program or not for more than a few minutes.  The default color scheme of X1 is one that will cause me great difficulty.

Question for Brandon and/or others: Does X1 include any color schemes designed for those with visual impairments?

I'd be shocked if it doesn't. Considering Cakewalk is known to tailor to the visually impaired.
Hope Brandon or Seth can answer for you.

InstrEd, you are right.  Cakewalk has been very well known, and highly regarded, for their work with the visually impaired.  Hopefully that has not changed.

    I agree with noldar12.

I've been using Cakewalk on and off since '99 or so, then I switched to Audacity. Just bought a couple of Roland products last week and received a copy of SONAR with both of them. I was really looking forward to going back to one of my fave recording programs, but it's really hard for me to see the text against the dark background.

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the colors? Otherwise the whole program is next to useless for me. A shame really because it means I'll have difficulty using one of the units too - the OCTA_CAPTURE. Not nice to think such a lovely piece of machinery has shipped with software that is next to useless simply because details can't be seen against the dark background.

    Someone?

Q2: Perfectspace. Will Aleksey Vaneev update his plugin in SONAR X1 to x64bit?
Can please Cakewalk contact Aleksey to make a new update of his convolution reverb.
I'm sure he is willing to help out making a new x64bit Perfectspace for SONAR X1.

Please don't forget to add support of "True stereo"-format (x2-files format) and surround 5.1 support in the new Perfectspace X1.

    Freddie,

Why not send Aleksey some money and get Pristine Space from him directly? Then you can have a nice expense to balance against your profits for taxes. At $120 I think Pristine Space is probably the best bargain on the Pro Audio market.

    best regards,

An alternative is Liquidsonics reverberate  http://www.liquidsonics.com/software.htm available in 64bit, and pretty nice IMO

    +1 for Reverberate!!

Dual true-stereo, zero latency, 64bit, E/R module, EQs ,choruses, stereo delays with modulation, etc., only $75. Essential and no-brainer.

Yes Reverberate are cool and SIR too.
I'm aware about all the workarounds. Cubase and LOGIC has a x64bit CONVOLUTION Reverb included so its about time that SONAR has it too.
I was just concern about need of address the lack of x64bit in Perfectspace that are included in SONAR.

    Thanks Andy,
I auditioned reverberate for a month and was especially interested in the post convolution modulation process they do, but I went back to Pristine Space because I just seem to get a great sound faster. Actually, I never got a sound I thought was great from reverberate and so, even though it is bargain priced... I passed on the purchase.

The reverberate concept did get me thinking and it inspired me to make some new versions of my favorite home made IRs where I add a bit o modulation spice to the samples to see what happens.

There was another person from France/Africa that was preparing IRs by mixing chromatic beds into them so that they were tuned to a song key. I've been messing with that in experimental circumstances (rather than final production) and the results are very nice.

Alexsky at Voxengo states that Pristine Space uses no short cuts for CPU efficiency... he says he did this for the sake of fidelity... especially on the tails.

I wonder how the other popular convolution packages compare on that basis?

     best regards,
    mike
