Can we keybind markers?

In Sonar 7 and 8 I seem to recall Sonar having 12 marker shortcuts on the transport. Now in X1 those are scenes. Using 3rd party scripts ( I think it was Autoit and Bohms Midi Translater) I use to map my drum pads (or any midi input) to markers turning it basically into a locator which was a great workflow enhancement during mixing for me. I could jump to any portion of song just by pressing anyone of my 12 mapped pads. I'm in the middle of something right now so I can't check it out so I posing this question to the forum:

Is it possible to keybind markers with X1 or X2?

The only thing I see is the Markers Module which does what you want but by clicking with the mouse. Not sure if the contents of that is mappable to the keyboard or MIDI.

there is next and previous marker available in act button options and I put in a request to create a system for switching to marker x if others ask for this maybe they take the hint. I really don't want to have to learn to use bomes midi translator to keybind such things and even if I did it would still likely only allow me to move from one marker to the next at a time instead of moving from marker x to marker z as I want it to do. I think Conrad also mentioned this at least he did when I created a thread asking for this same thing a month or so ago.

It does strike me as odd they would remove such a useful feature. It couldn't be that hard to rework the code to allow for this stuff. The feature is already there and fully functioning. It just needs to be tied into MIDI or the key bindings. Mind you I'm not a programmer so maybe it's more complex than I'm imagining.

Hmm...not what I wanted to hear.  Hopefully Cakewalk will chime in. It does in deed seem like such a simple thing to implement.

@myconsumerclub - Thanks for tip about the act buttons. I should  somehow be able map those to my Shuttle Xpress. At least that will hold me over till the bakers realize we need this.

Even easier way to navigate markers is:

" Hold shift + press page up or page down. Jumps you instantly from marker to marker."

Ah yes... that's the one. I thought I had read that in the X1 Power Book but double checked before posting and couldn't find it so thought I was thinking of something else. Definitely something I'd use.

I programmed jumping to the next and previous marker with . And , in key bindings. I find it useful to move quickly between markers and that's the quickest way I could think of.

Having said that, the trick in the OP would be cool to be able to do.

I believe I mentioned this in another thread, but you can easily jump to whatever marker you want via the Control Bar here:
