Can you transfer Soundfonts into MC3?

Hey everyone how are you all doing? I just wanted to know if you can transfer soundfonts into MC3 and if so how do you go about in doing so. I would really appreciate the help.

Yes. I think you need to open the Options pull-down from the toolbar and select Soundfont. This will allow you to "load" a soundfont - then you can use MIDI data or a MIDI controller to play the soundfont instrument of your choice.

Of course, this is all based upon the assumption that your soundcard can use soundfonts. I'm not sure if all soundcards can use them but my SoundBlaster Audigy SE works just fine with soundfont libraries.

You can't really load soundfonts INTO MC. sjfoote's explanation will help you load soundfonts into the Soundblaster sound card he has.

If you have soundfonts you can use them by loading the rgc:audio sfz free player. I don't remember if it comes with MC or not, if not, the free one can be downloaded from the rgc website.

you use it like you would any other VSTi, once it's inserted into your project, just load the soundfont file you want from the properties page of the sfz player.

Thank you so very much sjfoote and Beagle sorry I didn't leave information about my soundcard.(which is a Realtek AC'97) If you have more information based on soundfonts and its abilities, please share with me.

the realtek will not load soundfonts into it like sjfoote gave instructions for - those instructions are for SB cards (and maybe a couple of others like Turtle Beach) only. you'll have to use soundfonts like I mentioned above.

another thing you might want to look into is using other softsynths as well, like the edirol vsc that comes with MC3.
