Can't bounce a midi VST to audio track

Title says it all. I must be missing something here. Back in the old days, when I started using Cakewalk DAW I could convert a midi track to an audio track and then apply effects to said track. But I can't seem to do that with X3. Am I missing something here? It's been a few years since I've composed any new songs, and it was only until last year did I switch to X3 as my new home. I'm trying to get an NI Battery 4 drum track turned into an audio track so I can use Guitar Rig to add effects. Any help would be welcome. Thank you in advance.

When inserting a synth into a project, the synth needs either an instrument track or at least one audio and MIDI track. If the synth only has a MIDI track routed to it, add an audio track to the project and set the input of the audio track to the synth output. Then rhe synth can be frozen or bounced if desired. Or the effects can be added directly to the synth audio track.

Thanks Scook. I'll see if I can figure that one out. sounds simple enough. I'm using Dimension Pro 1.5 as my main synth and Battery 4 as my drums.
