Can't change output

Hi im using MC5, I just made a project with some audio tracks. I tried to change the output of my audio tracks but there all stuck on master. I tried to click on the output arrow to change the output ( I can change the input fine , the input arrows work and show me the input menu ) but it wont show me the little drop down output menu. So i have no sound

    Welcome to the forum.
So you don't even have sound when the track outputs are set to Master? What output is the Master set to?
MC 5 is not compatible with 64-bit operating systems; are you running MC in 32-bit emulation mode?
Did you download and install the MC 5 update? The link for that is in one of the stickies at the top of the forum page.

I'm thinking the Asus sound is built in to the MOBO..... are you using the MME drivers?

Be sure it's 32 bit emulation mode, and as Greg said, check where the master is outputting to. It should go to the sound card.

You did say audio tracks so...can you see the wave form in the track view?

I have the same problem (Sonar Producer 8.3.1.372) running WIN XP.  I have to quit Sonar and restart to fix the problem.  The Audio is fine,  you just can't open the drop-down menu that allows you to re-assign the channel to a different output.

    Welcome to the forum.
Did you download all the updates/patches for SONAR? You can probably find those in stickies at the top of the SONAR forum.
