Can't get rid of volume or pan envelopes... ?

For some reason, I have some projects I cannot find a way to get rid of volume envelopes.

On other projects, had simply to right-click on any region on the envelope line and delete.

Not sure, but I wonder if these are projects I started (and created envelopes) under Sonar 8.5 and now work those projects under X1 ... ?

Is there an (another) easy way to delete envelopes on a project ? (ideally, all envelopes at once ?)

Thanks,

Rob

Make sure that the "Select track envelopes with clips" option is set in the Track View Menu-->Options. To delete all envelopes also make sure that "Show Ghosted Data" is checked in Track View-->View-->Display menu.

Then with the edit filter on clips (shift+click the clip) select the track(s) with the automation and select "Edit-->Delete" and make sure that track automation is selected in the delete options box. That should do it.

Thanks, but does this delete ''just'' the envelope ? (this is what I need to do: I need to keep the track itself... )

Thanks

It will if you deselect "Events in tracks" from the delete options when it pops up. That will delete the automation and leave the track.

If you only want to delete one envelope from many then make sure that "Display Ghosted data" is unchecked in the TV menu--->View---->Display section. Basically if you can see it, (even ghosted) Sonar will delete it. If you can't it won't.

Again, not sure if this is what you are asking but I couldn't figure out how to delete them at first either. If I misunderstood your question, I apologize.

If you are in track view, each track has a drop down box, click and select "automation" on the tack you want to edit , this will allow you to edit the envelope or delete it.  (right click and "delete envelope", "delete node etc".)

Found a video which has some good info if you have switched from a previous version to X1, as I have.  Shows some of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGRHjV0Y0W0

Hey many thanks to both of you.  Indeed, both replies are very useful.
