Can't open Sonitus EQ in X1

Hi folks,
I'm opening some old sonar 8 projects in X1d, these old projects have several instances of Sonitus EQ.
I'm opening them in X1d and see that the old EQs are still active but I can't open the Sonitus EQ window.
I know if I ctrl+click the EQ power it will bring up the pro-channel EQ and flat line the settings but I just want to tweak the original Sonitus EQ. For the life of me can't get it to open. Everywhere I look on line it says just double-click the EQ plot and it will open but it doesn't. I can insert Sonitus as a plug-in but this doesn't help me, I just need access to the original Sonitus EQ settings.

I've tried this in track view and console view with pro-channel hidden but it still won't open.
What am I doing wrong??
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I just tried it in X1d Producer Expanded on an old pre-X series project. The Sonitus EQ popped up when I double-clicked on the EQ graph in the inspector, not the ProChannel.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I have a feeling it has something to do with that, it looks to me like there is only one EQ graph in the inspector.
It doesn't do anything when I double click it, and if I add a curve it shows in the pro channel eq.
Should there be two different EQ graphs?
In the top of the inspector, I don't click on pro channel so it turns blue, I just click on clip or track. The graph I see there seems to control the pro channel eq. Is there a way to disable pro channel or something?

This is probably something very simple that I'm doing wrong...

Here is what I am seeing. In the inspector, with none of the tabs highlighted, there is a small EQ graph just above the FX bin. If the track already has a curve loaded in the EQ graph, double-clicking in the EQ graph area brings up the Sonitus EQ showing the curve. There is only one EQ curve and it will load in either the Prochannel EQ or Sonitus depending which equalizer you bring up. If there is no EQ already applied to the track, double-clicking will do nothing.

FWIW, I just tried it in the Console view and I get the same behaviour when I double-click the EQ graph on the console strip.

Okay, I opened an old file I hadn't opened yet, I went straight to a track with a sonitus EQ, double clicked it and BANG it opened as you said. I don't know why I was having issues with the current file I was working on. I must have control clicked the EQ or something.

So I guess my final question is: If this was a newly created X1 file, there is no way of accessing Sonitus in that way, correct? The Sonitus effect would have to have been there from a pervious version? And to use Sonitus on a new file it can only be accessed through the fx bin? Just trying to wrap my head around this.

Thanks again.

yes to all three questions

As with any new version of SONAR, when working on a project created in a prior version, it is always a good idea to work on a copy rather than the original project.
