Can't split or paste anymore?

For some reason in my MCLE I cant split any more, it doesn't do anything when I do the split.  I can't seem to paste either, any clues as to whats going on?

    Nope..... it should give you the pop up box with that option when you right click on a track with something in it.

    I get the pop-up but when I click split it doesnt split it.  there is also what looks like a verticle line blinking like a cursor with a small magnafying glass next to it.  not sure that that is.

    Are you highlighting the track? You MUST have a track or a clip highlighted in order to split it, copy it, drag it, or paste to a track.

    yes, I've done it a million times, i can't help thinking I may have changes some setting by accident.  this is strange

    It's not in any setting that I'm aware of.... Next question...when did it start?  If it's recent.... simply use the RESTORE COMPUTER TO A PREVIOUS POINT that occurred before the issue began.

    It's possible that something updated and messed with the program. Restoring will sometimes solve things like this. Then be looking for what programs try to "update" again. Check LE after any updates.

    Seems to only happen when I zoom the track
