Cancer Sux

A good friend of mine passed away last week... Cancer SUX!!!
I just closed my eyes and recorded this.
I was so pissed with tears rolling down my eyes.
You'll hear when I'm upset when the guitar lets loose...

You know, it might be easy to say do this, adjust that, but this is just such honest, raw emotion, that it doesn't seem right to suggest tampering with it.
Fond remembrance, intertwined with the pain. Been there. You have expressed it well.
You do have a really good sound here, but the important thing is that the emotion comes through, and that is loud and clear.
Hang in there. It never really gets better, you just come to accept it.

Sorry about the loss. It does suck - I survived it in 1994 - was not pleasant.

I love what you've done here - I can certainly feel your emotions coming through on this.

    Well done.

I'm sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed parts of this, some parts the lead seemed to stray out of the key of the song, or perhaps just played scales I'm not familiar with. You should consider writing words about how you felt about your friend? I believe that helps.

I've lost a really good friend to cancer..... and the lady I co-write with also lost her cousin and almost lost her sister. (the song In A World Without You...on my sound click was the result of the ordeal with her sister and breast cancer)

I'm sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. I lost a father and a father in law to cancer and it is the worst feeling in the world. You did a great job with this piece. It oozes emotions.

That just about sums it up! Cancer Sux! That haunting Bass really captures and emphasizes your frustration with this disease. I really liked how well your raw emotion cuts through while not leaving a raw production behind. Nice work and I, too feel your pain.

I know the feeling losing someone close to you from Cancer , my father lost his 15 year battle with throat cancer .
Operations and tons of strong medicine put him into another world with the fear someday the battle will be lost .
I struggled with it for five years , just couldn't get it out of my head .
Taking up music five years ago help me deal with the pain of losing someone close to me  , thanks to music a memory of love between my father and I became a becan of love to be remembered for ever .

Nice music , keep your spirits up and keep on playing your music !

Nice job.  I lost the love of my life the same way.  Robert's right.  It never really gets better, you just come to accept it.  I'm sorry for your loss too.  If your emotion can be transformed into fine music then all is not lost.  Those who go ahead of us yet remain with us always in our hearts and in our minds and for those of us who are espcially blessed, in our music.

    Hi, Daniel,

Very sorry to hear about your friend, but I'm certain that they truly appreciate the wonderful job that you did on this raw, very emotional instrumental tribute .

Nice full guitar tones great playing and fluidity, and you've got a nice clean, wide mix.

Great job, I'm sure that your friend would be proud.  Have a good one!

It is tragic to loose a friend, a son, a son in law, even more so to such a mindless disease, my sympathies are with you.  The value of being able to retreat and let that emotion out in music is without value.

    Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear about your loss. That's never easy and Bob's right...you just learn to live with it.  This is a great piece, full of emotion. And talent too, I might add.  Well done!
