Daryl, your versatility is showing. The arrangement is fantastic, and you nailed the performances. The different sound textures made this song for me, as well as the strong vocals. This deserves several more listens, and I'll be playing this for friends. Very well done.

Daryl, I love the song and the performances. TBH something is not sitting well on your Vox for me. Some distortion or too "telephone" sounding. But if that was your production decision please ignore me (and my monkey ).

Cool song.
I can see what Bapu's getting at, the vocal does sound flattened somehow... but I think it fits the song very well.

Sound a lot like something the Zombies would have done in the 60s. ( I really liked the Zombies).
It also has a bit of Hollies flavor. Great piano work. Love the chorus.

Other than the lead vocal (back off the mic, please!), really well done and mixed.

Lovely song again.
Nice use of sounds and arrangement vox are nice esp, when the BGV's come in.
There is one thing I'm noticing which may just be down to the mp3 encoder is the range where you may have employed some de-essing or some such there is some really high end distortion further up the frequency spectrum from there. If you listen real close it sounds really hyped up there like a very fine needle going through the brain, maybe a bit of a roll off over 8k will cure it.
Fantastic song though and lots of universal appeal.

This is good stuff Daryl. That intro piano was absolutely majestic, loved that. Vocal treatment works for me, almost telephone like, but it is a bit out front on the first and second verses.
Yeah, a little Lightning Seeds in the chorus, but I hear lots of influences in here, all good ones.

very nicely done, Daryl!
IMO, you're overly compressed on everything - all instruments are at the same level all the time, there's no dynamics left in the performances or against each other., JMO, tho.
I agree the lead vocal is hot and dry and "in your face" and sounds like you've EQ'd it to narrow bandwidth. if that's what you're wanting, that's fine , it does fit the song OK.
