Cannot Hear Tape (Computer TracK) Through Headphones

But I can hear the instrument I wish to over dub onto the previously recorded track?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't understand the question.
Is "Tape (computer track)" a VST or have you connected a tape recorder to your soundcard or what?

Do you mean you are overdubbing by recording on the previously recorded track (blending old and new)?

What are you doing and what kind of gear and what recording software  are you using?

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
