Cannot find Melodyne 4
Hello, I just installed Melodyne 4 64 bit. I used the default file locations and paths, had SP scan for plugins and it does not show up, even after restarting my computer. Do I need to move Melodyne to the VST folder manually? Thanks in advance

Did you point the plug in scan to the Melodyne install folder?

Sure thing....that's the first thing I checked. Can't figure it out. It's a VST Audio Effect, right?

Hi Charlie. I believe you can use it as a regular plugin but I use it as a Region FX. Did you try rebooting?

I'm assuming you've already tried this but the next thing I would do is check the install folder for the DLL and then maybe reinstall. What version of Melodyne do you have?

I had similar issues with other VST's. You might want to go into the plugin manager and check that it is enabled and/or add it to the dropdown.

Hi. Did you install the Vst2, or Vst3 version? The Vst3 version defaults to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Do not know if it helps or not. All the best.

i had an install problem w/Melodyne 4 that lasted a couple months or so because Celemony's tech support was TERRIBLE. i could not install Melodyne 4 w/o installation errors; Sonar would not see Melodyne 4 vst3 even though it was in the right place. after much toiling, i decided to try something that defied normal logic (mine, at least) and it fixed the problem. after uninstalling Melodyne & cleaning the registry, i started the install process again, but this time, when i was given the choices of which components to install, i UNCHECKED the VST2 component so that that would not install. the VST3 component then installed correctly & Melodyne became available to me as a Region Effect. much rejoicing!

Hi there, I assume you have been able to open the stand alone version? If you haven't tried it is worth checking to make sure it installed OK

I had a similar problem when I upgraded from Melodyne essential to the Editor version. Sonar would scan the VST plugins and never find it. I had to move the Editor version to the VST folder and have Sonar scan the VST plugins again.

Hey All, thanks for all of the suggestions. I ended up just moving the whole Celemony folder and dropping it in the VST folder. That did the trick. I had used the Plugin manager and added the original Celemony folder to the list of folders to scan, but it never did locate it. So, all is good and thanks again for all of the help.
