I want to raise my buffer size higher than 10 msec but I can't, that is the max... anyone know why this is? It used to not be like that.

My interface is a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

Are you trying to increase the buffer size via your sound card's control panel, or via the SONAR Preferences menu? When the sound card's in ASIO mode, you can't change the buffer size via the Preferences menu: you have to click on the Control Panel button just underneath or open the stand-alone Control Panel for your sound card (if applicable) and change it from there. If a project is open whilst doing this, the settings on your soundcard may be locked by the project, so just close SONAR, open your soundcard's Control Panel (or vice-versa) and increase the buffer size as needed. 10ms is I think the minimum (or close), not the maximum buffer size; so plenty ways upwards to go!

I think any limitation is going be determined by your interface drivers. My old E-MU interface went to 50ms (2400 samples at 48kHz) - or maybe even 100ms. My current MOTU interface only goes to 2048 samples.

10ms would be a surprisingly low upper limit, though. I would check the interface documentation.
