Can't Copy Dim Pro DVD

I'm trying to make a backup copy of my Dimension Pro DVD that came with Sonar 8.5.
I've tried it with two different software tools and have been unsuccessful copying this DVD.
For some reason the tools are telling me the data size is 5.6 GB -- larger than the 4 GB or so DVDs normally accept.
Is there any way to copy this DVD?

Thats because its to big. You need a double layer DVD to hold it all.

Or split the contents across two disks. The only downside to that is if you ever want to reinstall from the copy you'll have to first restore both DVDs to your hard drive and run it from there.

OK, thanks for the info.  My DVD writer is an older model, so it might not be able to burn "double layer".  I will try to split the contents across two media sets as suggested.  Just hate the thought of not having a backup!

I hear ya, zgraf. In fact, I'm in the habit of making two backups because I don't have a lot of faith in DVD-R.
