Can't Enable ProChannel EQ *SOLVED*

Hi All

OK so I've got a project nearing completion and I notice that the ProChannel is disabled so I click on the enable button and get this message-

"Your are currently using the Sonitus:fx EQ on this channel. To upgrade to the new Prochannel EQ, discar the Sonitus:fx EQ by Control + click on this button."

This may sound like an easy fix but I don't have the Sonitus:fx on this channel or any other channel.  Now I notice that about half my track have the ProChannel EQ working and the other half don't so it's not limited to this specific track.  Clearly it was working before as the EQ display is still showing the frequency curve I set up but all the knobs are hard left.  ???????

Thanks in advance

Sound like this is a project that was started in a previous version of Sonar. On Sonar 8.5 (and maybe earlier) Sonitus EQ did not have to be inserted on each track - it was already there waiting to be activated. If you setup any EQ - Sonitus was used.

The EQ Plot for Pro Channel will pick up on the Sonitus EQ from the previous version, but the controls will not reflect the plot. If you follow the instructions to initialize Pro Channel it should work - but I don't know how well.

If this is a fresh X1 project, then I don't know what to say.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!

Thanks codamedia

Actually that answer is making some sense. I is a project from P8.5.  Could you expand on "initialize ProChannel" please.

OK Got it and I couldn't have figured this out without you dude.   Yes it was a project from 8.5 and it was using the old default track eq so now I understood the message.  Hold the ctrl button on my keypad while you click on the ProChannel EQ enable button.  ProChannel EQ is now enabled.  I lost my eq settings but now I know what was going on.

Thanks a lot dude!

Glad to hear that was it, and that you got it working.
It's too bad though that the settings get lost.
