Can't Find Your Plug-In Layouts and Such from X3? Read This

Thanks to lawajawa for pointing this out and sharing!

This directory/filepath is pretty helpful to know about:
C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\    Well, it may not be Admin for other machines.  I guess it's the name of your user account on your machine.

The plug-in lists, softsynth lists, etc. and other layouts are available from that directory.

Experienced users know to go to that directory and copy and paste the X3 version of our layouts (our accustomed layout) to the similar new Platinum directory to enable them to re-appear, but if you don't know that, you may think you have to rebuild your softsynth or effects lists (the way you like them) again from scratch. But that's not necessary! Just copy as described above and you'll be back to your comfortable environment.

Both ways are good to know.

Either way, getting there allows us to grab layouts or other things we may have saved as personal versions and copy those into the current version of Sonar you're setting up.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.
