Can't Record Audio with Audiobox 22VSL

Hi.  Looking for some help.  I'm running Sonar X3 Producer on a Lenovo T420 Laptop (i5 4Gb Ram).  When I try to use my Audiobox 22VSL, I can use Midi without any problems (through Addictive Drums etc) but when I plug in a mic or instrument, the software doesn't record anything.  The audio is going into the box, because it is monitoring just fine, just not recording in the software.  I've updated the drivers, disabled the laptops onboard audio and tried using the different drivers throught Sonar (WDM, ASIO, etc) with no success.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

The Audiobox 22VSL comes with a Mixer program.  You might not have it set up there???   Also, in your X3 audio track, make sure you have the input set to the proper channel of the Audiobox 22VSL.  I have had my Mic plugged into the right channel, but had the input set to the left.

Nothing is going into the VSL mixer program either.  The mixer is installed, but when I play the instrument or try the mic, the mixer program doesn't show anything coming in either.  I did check the channels and even tried it as stereo and reversed in case for some reason it was wired wrong.  Still no luck.  I'm wondering if it could be a USB port driver problem?  Everything seems to get to the box, but not to the computer.

I'd consult our Audio Hardware Setup Guide that we've published on our site. This will give you instructions to your specific hardware software/configuration. To access it, go to our site and type in 'Audio Hardware Setup Guide' in the Search field. It should be the first item that appears. From there, you can choose your make, model, and software and configuration instructions will be provided.

I did everything in the guide and still nothing.  Midi still works fine (playing my Roland TD-10 into Sonar through Addictive Drums 2) but the audio still isn't getting into the tracks (I've cranked the inputs up to the point that the channel is clipping with negative results, so it's not a matter of weak signal to the box.

Can you hear your mic, and see the track meter move when you have Record "on" in Sonar?   If you can hear sound from the mic to me it means the USB is working.   I tried mine and got no sound, but I didn't have the blue light on (Enable VSL button) in the Mixer program.  After that, I recorded sound.  My mic was input StrAdADMI:  output was to master.  I used ASIO.

Possibly this could sound like I am insulting you that is however not the intent, but you did arm the track for record?

Just for the record I have the non VSL Audiobox USB on my second studio PC.
