Can't find a simple Android drum beat app!!! ????

Hi,

I'm looking for a small program for an Android tablet that will open tiny midi "mid" drum files (patterns), set the tempo, and then loop/play them. Sounds very simple, to me there should be thousands of such applications free and/or paid. Well I have been looking and just can't find a single one! I don't want to program the beats, I already have hundreds of patterns in my PC as midi files and that is what I would like to use.

It would be nice if it could use soundfonts and midi drum mapping, but even without that, just a usable internal drum set sound, that would be enough. I could map the files before if necessary. Another nice feature would be a button press to change it to another midi file for a fill, etc.  I don't want to have ten programs, synths, sequencers, etc. in one. I would like it to be small and simple.

What am I missing? There has to be something like this available, but I just can't find it.

Dan

Ok, I finally found something that works. It is called Audio Evolution.
It is no where near as simple as I would have liked, but at least I can get it to work with midi files and even soundfonts.

I use Caustic 3. It cost's $10 to unlock. It is a full sequencer with a bunch of different synth modules including drums. I've written full instrumental songs, and then easily transferred to Sonar to flush it out.   You can try it for free.

This is my third time trying to post this information. I don't know why it keeps getting deleted.  Maybe because it put it links to the software.  I use Caustic 3 it is a full fledged Android sequencer that includes a bunch of synth modules including drums. You'll have to do a search because of this crappy forum software. It costs $10 to unlock, but you can try for free.

AE Mobile is quite good. That's what I use on an old Nexus 10. The USB support in-app purchase is definitely worth it. I never got my PreSonus 44VSL to work on Win10, but it works great with AE Mobile. You need a special USB cable (like the Apple camera kit). Nice little mobile DAW.

This page shows the cable you would need and has a long list of supported audio interfaces.

For a simpler solution, take a look at Drum Grooves Arranger on Google Play. I have the paid version installed, so I can't see the price anymore, but it wasn't much. You can use a MIDI file (type 0), channel 10 only.
