Can't find per-track EQ (Sonar X1)

This new interface in Sonar X1 has been killing me...  It's been quite a frustrating transition.  I've generally been able to find most things again, but I can't figure out how to get to the per-track EQ.  Anyone know?

All the Help says is to "double-click the EQ plot".  I try that, and nothing happens.

Are you using SONAR X1 Producer? If so, then each track has a new ProChannel that provides EQ, compression, and tube saturation.

Click on the track number of the track you want to work with and then (with the Inspector open - press I to toggle), click the ProChannel tab at the top of the Inspector to access the ProChannel parameters.

The pro channel gives you per track EQ.

In X1 Pro, Prochannel replaces the Sonitus for per channel.  You can put Sonitus on each channel, but it needs to be inserted into the FX bin.

So yes indeed, the problem I was having was figuring out ProChannel. For a while, I missed having the Sonitus-style graphical feedback for the compressor. But after using ProChannel for a while, I seem to have no problem using that interface + my ears, and this new interface is cleaner... I think the Sonitus-style display was helpful while I was learning to use compressors, but now that I understand what they do and can hear the results, I have no problem with the cleaner ProChannel interface. For the most part, I'm liking the X1 interface, after adjusting to it. One of the things I do a lot is open Console View on my 2nd monitor. I hit some confusion there, too... But that was because I accidentally minimized Console view, and it was on the monitor opposite of the one Cakewalk was on... Took a while to finally notice the little minimized thing all alone at the bottom of my other monitor, outside the main Sonar window. The other thing that threw me for fits for a while in this version were Envelopes. I think it took me forever to discover I could "Add Node" by double-clicking. I think I'm now getting to the point where I like this new setup better, but one thing I constantly want to do is switch my active envelope by picking one of the "disabled" ones visible in "ghost form" above the waveform in Track View. Is there a way to do that? Right now, I just find the envelope I want to activate in the "Edit Filter" drop-down in the track header (in Track View). But when there's lots of effects + ProChannel stuff + whatever, there can be an awful lot of stuff in that drop-down, whereas I may only have two active Envelopes on the track. Sometimes it would be easier to pick on that disabled ghost envelope and make it the active one. Is that possible?

Ouch! I also see that there's been some forum changes since I've been "away"... My neatly-formatted reply got munged into one giant run-on paragraph. Gives it kind of a "stream of consciousness" feel... :)

If you port from 8.5 to X1, the old sonitus pops up when you double-click on the EQ window. Perhaps that is what you are referring to.

You also get the option to move to the new PC permanently. I just save the settings and re-open Sonitus in the FX box. Tiresome, but I prefer to be incontrol of my tracks.

The new PC wraps too much poorly defined voodoo behind those vintage gear simulations. And it annoys me to have that in-my-face every day.

sinc, I think you can access your ghosted envelopes by shift-clicking them.

Yes sir you are correct, shift + click does it. As soon as they sort out the popup on mouse-over, envelopes IMHO will be almost perfect.

AH! Thanks! I was confused as to why it worked now, when I was practically sure I had tried that. After some poking around, I think I discovered why... I think there's a bug. It seems as though SHIFT+CLICK will NOT select the envelope if you pick on vertical portions of envelopes, i.e. portions of envelopes between successive "jump" segments. It will work on other portions of the envelope. I think I tried SHIFT+CLICK on a vertical segment, and when it failed, I decided that didn't do anything.
