I use Akoustik Piano and don't load it via the Kontakt Player, though I have that installed. So long as it shows up in the list of soft synths, it SHOULD load up, but you may need to configure the plugin (using the plugin manager console) to a simple instrument track, then in track properties for that track, make sure that you have a MIDI input channel <or omni> and output to Acoustik Piano out and THEN make sure that output goes to a bus that is active! Or a track that is active.
I am on WinXP 64 but use Sonar X1 32 bit for broader compatibility, so your setup should work. There is also a MIDI preferences setup section within the Acoustik Piano console itself which you may need to configure to use ASIO or whatever drivers you are using in X1. Good luck!
When one is doing the process of self-analysis, One should make sure that the Self that is doing the analysis is, in fact, sane.
