Cant get program to run after re install

I had to re-install and I keep getting set up is not complete and it sees it in the program folder but the system does not see in control box for uninstalling it. It looks like it is going to run but nothing happens and no error messages,

    I can not get the program to run even though the program folder sees it but the control box does not see for unintsalling. At the end of the install program it does not close and when I do close it say install is not complete.

    try this:
    I got instructions from Cakewalk Technical Support, and they WORKED! Hopefully, all is resolved.

    Essentially, I went into RUN, then paste in "%APPDATA%/CAKEWALK", then change "SONAR Home Studio 6" to "SONAR Home Studio 6 backup". That did it.

    I have no idea what it did, but if any of you guys want to explain it, I'd be interested. And I want to thank all of you here on the forum and offline who've offered suggestions. Let's hope this does it.

    Now I can get back to sussing out the program and asking other dumb questions about it.
