Hello, Danya - I took the Cyrillic text you posted and ran it through Babel Fish translation, choosing Russian to English.  After fixing the syntax a bit, here's what it says:

"The file is not found in the indicated folder."

Either the audio isn't there, or, more likely, it's not able to look for files with Russian names.  I suggest you re-name the .wav file, and then ask to import it under the new English name.

But that's assuming you're in an English speaking country.   If you're using a Russian version of Sonar that recognizes Cyrillic characters - then I don't know.

Ah, you Are using a Russian Sonar.  Hello, my Russian friend - I have visited Moscow twice in the last few years, and enjoy it very much.

I translated "module" to mean the audio file.  Usually we say "module" to refer to something like a group of controls which are put together for a specific task, like the modules in Sonar's Console view.  Each channel strip's group of controls could be called a "module."

But I don't see how anything actually like a module could be what Sonar is looking for in order to open the .wav file.  Maybe I have the language wrong, but I thought it was referring to the audio file not being found.  If so, that would mean you are not directing Sonar to the place where you actually have the file.

I take it that your Sonar can read both Russian and English?  I ask because I needed to have Sonar open some Russian audio files, and it never can find them since it does not read Cyrillic.  I open those files manually, bypassing the need for importing.

Have you tried dragging the audio file in from your X1 Browser?

Oh, I thought you meant you were using the Russian version of Sonar.  Well, in my experience, I could not just click and import audio files with Russian names.  Re-naming them to something in English did the trick.  Try that.

Well, Danya - My guess about the file name being in Russian did not help.  I do not know what is wrong.  There must be something incorrect in the formatting of this particular audio file.  You are usually able to import audio I think?

If you could upload the file somewhere online, we could take a look at it and maybe see what is wrong with it.

It seems like you are experiencing a Windows error.

Post some info about your operating system and service pack updates.

Post a little info about your machine as well.

    Good luck.

    best regards,
    mike

Could be the copyright thing again, try converting your file (if it's a wave or MP3) in a converter, some music files I have found give message "OUT OF MEMORY" in the english version, that is.

Ah--that might be it, Freex.  Danya, if these are copyrighted files, they may be encoded so they can not be copied.

Now i have a message: "Unable to import wave file. The file's audio format is incompartable with current project". In earlier versions of Sonar i always did that without any problems. What's a problem? Pls, help

That means that you need to change the sampling rate on your interface to match the rate in the audio file.  Hopefully your interface has the option to choose between 44.1 and 48khz.  The setting it is at right now is different from the audio file, so open up the audio interface's control window and change to the other rate.

Well, why i always imported different format files (MP3) to the Sonar in earlier versions? Why Sonar automatically dont change format of file when its importing in project as always was?

Sonar converts the bit depth of imported files, but not the sampling rate.
