Can't install p5

I have read every thread about install problems and have had no luck. I am trying to install P5 and I will get the screen to install, explore, etc. When I choose install, the autorun dos window flashes for a split second, and the installer will gracefully exit but no installation takes place. I have copied the DVD to the harddrive and tried it from there as well. I am installing on the "e" partition of my "c" drive."E" has XP on it and is my sonar drive, my c is my internet drive with win 98se. Any ideas?

Try disabling antivirus (if you're running it on XP partition) and try disabling as many services as you can afford to shutdown during installation.

If disabling services doesn't help then you probably ought to call Cakewalk technical support directly. If you've already tried the suggestions in other threads or on the Project5 Wiki then you've spent a lot of time on it already and it is probably time to call Cakewalk.

I had issues like that. I just tried over and over again about 25 times until it worked. BOTH my dvd drives on my PC had problems reading the disc. I had no problems installing P5 on my laptop however.

Cake has P5 on CD for a small fee if you need it. That's probably your best bet.
