Cant load project

Hi there.  I am having problems in 8.5.3.  I cannot load my project which is partially mixed.  Sonar just hangs.  I have win 7 paltform.  Can anyone help?

Try pressing shift when opening the project, that opens it in safe mode and you can leave VSTs unloaded. That sometimes helps.

Do you have something like active Melodyne in the project?

Partially mixed?? I wonder what that means in practice? Most likely nothing that actually affects the loading (?).

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Thanks I will try the shift thing.  Nothing too cumbersome in the project.  All softsynts and effects are frozen.  So not sure why there would be an issue.

When SONAR hangs while loading a project, and if it's just one specific project, then it's probably a plugin that's having trouble loading. Safe mode will let you load the project without plugins, and if you can do that then it's a matter of enabling the plugins one at a time until you identify the culprit. If it still hangs with all plugins skipped, then you probably have a corrupt wave file. Or, I suppose, possibly a corrupt file in the picture cache.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I managed to load all the plugins with the shift key.  THANK YOU for the help Kaale.  I think that I am having a 64 bit compatibility issue with one of my plugins.  I have had the "teleport not working" error a few times which I believe is bitbridge related.  Anyway will keep soldiering on.  At least I can still load the project to carry on working.  Was worried that I had lost it.

I just had this happen to me the other day.  The wierd thing was I had not added any new pluggins to the project in over a month.  I guess the question is is there a way to see what is causing the problem when loading without disabling all the pluggins.   Just wondering.... John
