Cant openn ASIO pannel

Im experiencing some latency and cant open my asio panel to adjust buffer. Why? Im using ASIO currently.

I apologize. You are right. here is my specs.
 
Focusrite pro 40
8gb ram
intel i 5 processor
850 watt power supply
firewire card 400-800
 
I go into preferences and it does show that im using my pro 40 drivers for recording and playback.
However, It has a host of options for drivers such as..
 
Playback timing master driver:
 
1) ASIO saffire pro 40-009b 52 mon 1
2) ASIO saffire pro 40-009b 52 line 3
3) ASIO "                             "  line 5
4) ASIO "                             "  line 7
5) ASIO "                             "  line 9

and for my Record timing master driver I have a list as follows

Currently my playback is set to
 
1) ASIO saffire pro 40-0096 52 Mon 1
 
and my record is set to
 
1) ASIO saffire pro 40-009b52 IP 1
 
 
 
I dont know what the other ones do, but Im assuming the ones I have selected are correct. If not please explain. I goto the mix control for my saffire pro 40 and change the buffer size but nothing happens. Im lost.......
