Can't preview in media browser

Can't preview in media browser

I am trying to audition drum samples in the Media Browser to add to Session Drummer, and though everything looks like it should be playing, I'm not hearing anything. Session Drummer itself was open at the time, and pounding away on that produced drums sounds, just trying to preview in MB doesn't work. Auto-Preview is turned on, and the Now Time window flashes briefly to show something is going on when I click on a .flac file, but no sound. Any ideas why?

    The Session Drummer does not have anything to do with previewing audio. Click the down arrow on the Media Tab in the browser to check the Audio Preview Bus setting.

    Thank you. The Auto Preview Bus was set to Preview. I changed it to Master and to Metronome and to both the different audio outs that were listed, but none of those made a difference. Still no auto preview sound. What else can I look at?
