Can't save plug-in layout...

Can't save plug-in layout...

...or open the old ones I created, one for effects and for instruments. I get an error message when I try to save a new layout but when I try to open the old layouts nothing is happening. The right space in the manager is just blank. 

The files resides in the original plug-in layout folder, so they are not deleted or anything and their file size seems to be normal (around 15k).

I have the X1b-patch installed and I'm using XP, 32 bits.

    what does the error message say?
