Can't set my avatar

I've been trying to upload an avatar in my cakewalk forums profile and nothing seems to work. Either I get "file upload failed" or server errors. I got the profile picture to accept on online photo url, but I can't use it for the avatar (and it won't accept an online photo).

I've tried with both IE and Firefox. Any ideas ?

FWIW, I updated Java and have reinstalled Flash (which i seem to have to do on a regular basis) and neither have helped. I still get this weird url error message then a 500 error message even though the pictures I am trying to upload as an avatar are on my computer... so good luck. Decent forum software is available and it isn't that big of a deal to switch over to something that works but Cake does not seem interested in improving the forum.

LOL... I know exactly what you mean. It is ALWAYS something, I think I am getting used to it and then it gets to me again.

There's another thread about this (maybe the one jbow referenced?) and someone else commented on my avatar in a different thread. I decided to change it... and nothing happened. Same error message, etc.

Well, one of Cakewalk's representatives just mentioned updating the forum software in another thread so there may be light at the end of the tunnel. Either the change is causing the problems, or the system is falling apart (server errors on just about any kind of transaction). Let's hope it's the former...
