CapitaLIZE Matters...

Ok, I just have to admit that every time I see SONAR spelled in non-CAPS, it makes me a little sad.

Fun Fact: Cakewalk employees rarely fail to spell it properly.

I can't say it bothers me (or that I even really notice) when others don't do it, but I always do.

I cant say this particular word crime bothers me too much. In the words of a well known peanuts meme:

I also cringe a little when I see it not capitalized (or capitalised for our British friends. ), but I also know it's a losing battle to try getting people to use words properly anymore.  If I live to be 90 I'm sure I won't recognize (recognise) the English language at all.

Actually, my main point of annoyance isn't so much the forums, as it is so-called professional publications. However, I don't mind also calling out all of the folks that have it misspelled in their signatures.

Current British English style and style guides tend to not capitalise acronyms that are pronouncable as words and regularly are pronounced as words.

Examples being Sonar (first capital because in this context it's a proper noun), radar, laser.

    Sonar Platinum 64bit, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, I7 3770K Ivybridge, 16GB Ram, Gigabyte Z77-D3H m/board,
ATI 7750 graphics+ 1GB RAM, 2xIntel 520 series 220GB SSDs, 1 TB Samsung F3 + 1 TB WD HDDs, Seasonic fanless 460W psu, RME Fireface UFX, Focusrite Octopre.
Assorted real synths, guitars, mandolins, diatonic accordions, percussion, fx and other stuff.

I should have specified product names and such, not words in common usage. The reason for this is companies all want their product names CAPITALIZED, like "DJ Softworks Announces MEGA-MONDO TURBOSOFT DJ."
