Case of the Vanishing Vol & Pan Controls

Hi. On two occasions over the last coupla days I've had my TV volume & pan controls (little blue slidey ones) along with solo knob etc vanish.  I'm still re-adjusting to X1 so could be whacking an odd series of keys. Or is there an option for this that I'm unaware of? I save, restart and they reappear.
Any ideas?

I don't know if this is what you are talking about, but try looking left of the time ruler where there is a drop down list. Change it to All

I have a recent post about the Control Bar going missing.  Sounds like there are several display problems still to be fixed.

Mounties to the rescue! That's most probably it. Perhaps there's a shortcut that I accidently struck which shuffled these around.
    Thanks
